Have a favorite landscape you'd like transferred to canvas? I will in special situations make an exception to my rule of painting only from photographs I myself take. In this case, I will accept commissions for paintings of landscapes that you yourself have photographed, although I must be comfortable with being able to work with the photograph that you provide (unless, of course, you want to fly me out to the site to take my own photograph!) For me to work from YOUR photograph, it must be well-composed and lit, with good color and contrasts. And we'd have to talk a bit about it so I can get a feel for the place. Especially popular are paintings of people's homes. Do you have a distinctive-looking home? I might be interested in doing a painting of it. You can get an idea of my style on these paintings from the gallery paintings of the "Ink House" and "Bourbon House." Prices depend on size of painting and complexity of subject. Payment terms are one-half in advance and one-half on completion.
